Develops and implements activities to attract new members (including management of LinkedIn memberships), and reviews membership applications ensuring that applicants meet membership criteria.
Recommends annual new and retained membership goals for Board consideration and approval
Annually reviews new member materials, communications and the new member application process; recommends changes to the Board of Directors as needed
Develops and implements activities and incentives to retain current members, by creating an environment that facilitates current members' satisfaction with their membership
Annually measures and reviews member satisfaction/loyalty with TRUST
Assists the Treasurer with member billing and payment issues
The Governance Committee is responsible for the health and functioning of the board, engaging and involving its members and planning for leadership succession. It recruits new members, conducts orientation and evaluates the performance of the board itself. This committee will identify and recommend a slate of nominees to replace the directors whose terms are expiring, and identify individuals to serve as officers of the TRUST. The Governance Committee will recruit individuals to serve on committees as requested by the President, and perform such other functions as set forth in these Bylaws or as the Board may from time to time direct.
The Governance Committee is comprised of the President Elect, the Immediate Past President and up to three other TRUST Members as appointed by the President. The Immediate Past President is the Chair of the Governance Committee.
Marketing Communications Committee
The Marketing Communications committee creates visibility for the TRUST among prospective members, companies/employers and key constituents, suppliers, partners and media. The committee will work closely with a public relations partner to be selected by the Board. The committee will support other TRUST committees, the Forum, etc., as needed. A proactive PR plan will be developed annually to drive greater awareness and community/corporate engagement, build industry thought leadership and support membership growth and retention.
Leadership Development Committee
The Leadership Development committee supports the Board in a focused effort to establish the Women’s Health Leadership TRUST as a valued resource in advancing women’s careers in health care. This includes conducting feasibility research to identify membership value and ideas for implementation and determining service/program/curriculum opportunities for further development and implementation.
The programming committee develops monthly TRUST programs that encourage member participation and provide value to attendees. Programs are selected based on subject matter that drives member engagement, contributes to personal and professional development, and provides education on current and future health care matters that impact the health of our members and our community. Each program includes opportunities for networking.
The Personal Development team is a sub-committee under the Programming Committee. This small, energetic team plans wonderful members-only trainings and is seeking additional committee members.
This committee will develop relationships with sponsors and holistically analyze partnerships for the TRUST. They will work with the Forum and Programming committees for sponsorship of those events, as well as with the Membership Committee on New Member Engagement Breakfasts.
The Forum Committee
The Forum committee is responsible for the planning and execution of the TRUST's most prestigious event honoring women leaders and providing valuable networking.
The Finance Committee prepares the budget for board, approval, monitors monthly results and provides analysis and/or makes recommendations as needed.
