Join us for this Book Club event where we will hear from Marcia and have the opportunity to ask questions.  Then, like any great book club, we’ll break into discussion groups where you can share your thoughts, ideas and aspirations with your peers.

About Our Speaker:

Marcia Ballinger is a longtime Twin Cities executive search leader.  She is Co-Founder and Principal at Ballinger|Leafblad, St Paul-based search firm focused on serving the non-profit sector. 

Marcia has a BS in Business Administration and an MA in Speech-Communication along with a PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University where she later served as chair of the board of directors.  She is currently a board member of two people-oriented companies (HRConnection and Employee Strategies, Inc.) as well as Children’s Home Society and Tubman.  Marcia was named one of the Real Power 50 by Minnesota Business in 2014, an Top Woman in Business by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal in 2008 and a Luminary Award Winner by the National Association of Women Business Owners in 2006.  She was in the inaugural group of 50 Over 50 named by AARP in 2016.

A resident of St. Paul, Marcia and her husband Brad have one adult daughter and dog Reuben.  Marcia is the author of “The 20-Minute Networking Meeting,” and “Winning the Executive Interview”.  Her third book, on how to move from corporate to the non-profit sector, is due this fall.
