Your Journey to Well-Being: A TRUST Inaugural Retreat

Thursday, October 3–Friday, October 4, 2019 | Oak Ridge Hotel & Conference Center

The TRUST is excited to present an inaugural two-day event focused on the many facets of well-being. Well-being is a broad concept that includes health and wellness, and goes even further. There are many frameworks for well-being — but in general it is the experience of health, happiness and prosperity. As one well-being thought leader describes, “it includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction and a sense of meaning or purpose” (Tchiki Davis, PhD). Participants will create a customized journey through various aspects of well-being, including mindfulness, movement and engagement. Many of the presenters selected for this event are TRUST members, and we are proud to showcase their knowledge on many aspects of well-being.

Each experience/session is designed to include as many of the following as possible:

  • Create an experience (something to do, engage in).
  • Engage in discussion (interactive, sharing, networking).
  • Create a takeaway (something to share with others, something to take away for self).
  • Lead to personal wellness, balance, self-improvement and/or education.

Your journey during the retreat will be determined by the breakout experiences you select. You are welcome to navigate across each breakout experience path to choose among Mindfulness, Movement and Engagement, or stay within the same breakout experience path. There are also optional experiences you can add to your journey. We will ask you to register for your experiences as we get closer to the conference date.

Investment: $290

As part of your registration, the TRUST will reserve a guest room for each registered attendee checking in on Thursday, October 3 and checking out Friday, October 4. Food and activities also included with your registration.

Attire:

The well-being retreat will be a relaxing, stress-free time. We encourage you to dress comfortably and welcome athletic clothing so you can fully participate in the experiences you select for your journey. It is recommended that you bring your own yoga mat to some of the sessions, as noted in the session descriptions.
